About the role:

We are seeking an excited and motivated Accounts Payable Clerk! This person will thrive working in a fun team environment, possess little to no experience, but is eager to learn how to perform a variety of Accounting responsibilities! This individual will be responsible primarily for leading and directing the Accounts Payable process for DTJ DESIGN. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Full cycle Accounts Payable.
• Manage all Vendor accounts.
• Monthly and Quarterly report preparation, including budget tracking.
• Data Entry for both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Cross Train with Billing Manager to cover responsibilities as needed.
• Assist Finance Team with special projects, research, and account reconciliations.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Work as a team player with the Accounting team as well as the support staff team in general.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Or, relevant Associate’s degree or certification program with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 tools including Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data.
• Excellent math and research skills.
• Ability to interface and collaborate with all staff levels and vendors.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and without supervision when required.
• Deadline-driven personality with excellent time management ability.
• Ability to balance different tasks and be nimble to adjust to potential interruptions or changes in the company’s needs.
