Job Description

This job is a part time, non-benefited, FLSA exempt position in the Nursing and Life Sciences Division that reports to the Program Director of Patient Care.

Salary : $35.00/hr

Minimum Qualifications
Registered Nursing (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current, active, unrestricted Georgia License. Minimum of two years of full-time paid in field work experience as a RN or LPN within the past five years.

Preferred Qualifications:


A minimum of one year's experience in a long-term care facility. Experience in teaching and curriculum development. Active participation in appropriate professional/occupational organization. Train-the Trainer Workshop Attendance Certificate from Georgia Medical Care Foundations.

Candidates for this position are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Refusal to take the test or a positive result will lead to separation and a 2-year ineligibility period for state employment. Additionally, for any employment offer that includes a required drug test, the test must be completed within 48 hours. Failure to comply will result in the offer being rescinded and a 2-year ineligibility period for state employment.

Prepares and delivers lecture and/or lab/clinical course material. Prepares lesson plans for classroom/clinical instruction for general core courses. Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately. Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts. If offered a position, employees in this department must complete the Hazardous Materials Training as well as the Bloodborne & Airborne Pathogen training annually.
