Assistant Farm Manager (2465)

Responsible for supervising tractor drivers, conducting mechanical maintenance and repair, and operating complex equipment. Reports to directly to the General Farm Manager.
Responsibilities Include:
Running and Maintaining Center Pivot Irrigation Systems.
Calibrating planters, repairing equipment and tractor repairs.
Locating and picking up equipment and equipment parts.
Planting and keeping planting records.
Evaluating plant health.
Fertilizer and chemical application and keeping application records.
Supervising harvest crews and activities and keeping harvest records.

Farming or mechanical experience.
Good communication skills.
Driver's license.
Reliability, willingness to work long hours, and interest in learning new skills.
Chemical Applicators license or the ability to get a Chemical Applicators license
Must pass a background check and drug test
The ideal candidate will have:
Multiple years of experience in growing sweet corn, green beans, blueberries, peanuts, and other similar crops.
Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of farm equipment including pivots.
Experience supervising others and leading a team.
Bilingual.

Salary: $500.00 to $800.00 /week plus benefits
