Job Description

We are working with a reputable construction company in the San Antonio market seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects from the field.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a proven background running commercial jobsites, managing subcontractors, and driving schedule, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects
• Manage jobsite safety, scheduling, and construction sequencing
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times
• Conduct quality control inspections and manage punch lists
• Drive project schedules and proactively resolve field challenges
• Partner closely with Project Managers and project teams
• Participate in preconstruction planning and constructability reviews
• Oversee project closeout and turnover

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
• Proven experience with ground-up and/or complex commercial builds

Background across commercial sectors such as:

• Office
• Retail
• Healthcare
• Hospitality
• Industrial
• Education
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management skills
• Deep understanding of construction sequencing and means & methods
• OSHA certification preferred
