Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Sterling Search Partners is helping a growing client with its search for a Corporate Tax Accountant. The Corporate Tax Senior is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations and partnerships. This role ensures compliance with tax regulations, assists with tax planning strategies, and supports audits and special projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical tax knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and related entities. Assist in quarterly and annual tax provision calculations under ASC 740, including deferred tax analysis and documentation. Research complex tax issues and draft technical memoranda to support positions. Identify and implement tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and optimize tax positions. Support tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities. Maintain and reconcile tax accounts and ensure accuracy of general ledger entries. Collaborate with finance, accounting, and legal departments to gather necessary data and ensure compliance. Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts on the organization. Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and providing technical guidance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred). CPA certification or active progress toward CPA required. 1-3 years of tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax department. Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax laws and regulations. Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., OneSource, CorpTax, GoSystem) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
