Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior UI Designer to join our team for a flagship mobile app project. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of visual design principles, motion and interaction design, and prototyping. This role requires close collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver polished, scalable, and accessible UI designs that enhance usability and brand expression.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate expertise in visual design principles, including layout, color, typography, and hierarchy, to create polished and scalable UI aligned with design systems.
• Design animations, micro-interactions, and transitions that enhance usability and brand expression using motion design tools such as Rive, ProtoPie, or After Effects.
• Build interactive prototypes to communicate flows and motion concepts, and iterate quickly based on testing and feedback.
• Collaborate with UX, copy, and development teams to integrate motion into the product effectively.
• Provide detailed specs and motion guidelines to developers for reliable implementation.
• Ensure motion designs are accessible, considering reduced motion settings and avoiding designs that may cause discomfort.
• Maintain awareness of performance impacts of motion on mobile devices, ensuring animations remain smooth and usable.
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in UI design with a strong portfolio showcasing visual design and motion design expertise.
• Proficiency in motion design tools such as Rive, ProtoPie, or After Effects.
• Strong skills in prototyping and rapid exploration of design concepts.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including UX, copy, and development teams.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards related to motion design.
• Understanding of performance considerations for animations on mobile devices.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.

Pay Range: $60 - $80

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
