• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including team leadership
• Background in biotech, life sciences, clinical research, or regulated industries a plus
• Ability to synthesize complex topics into actionable, business-aligned strategy
• Proven IT leader (Director level or equivalent) with experience managing cross-functional tech teams
• Comfortable navigating between strategic oversight and operational execution
• Skilled at interfacing with both highly technical staff and non-technical stakeholders
• Previous success in hybrid IT environments, ideally with both government and commercial projects
• Lead and manage a diverse IT team across five core functions, maintaining visibility into each at a 2,000-ft level
• Evaluate IT managers and their teams for effectiveness and deliverables
• Build strong partnerships with clinical and operational teams to deliver user-centric IT solutions
• Oversee the transition of internal systems and databases (currently Oracle) to the cloud
• Reestablish a smart resourcing strategy, balancing contractors vs. FTEs with justified, cost-effective plans
• Support CFR Part 11-compliant systems, especially around validation, GCP, and documentation
• Develop and execute a clear, collaborative annual roadmap for IT that aligns with company initiatives
• Participate in every new client setup (Medidata, internal systems, etc.) to ensure proper IT integration
