Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics/PCB Technician to join our team, specializing in the repair, rework, refurbishment, and upgrade of devices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electronic systems, PCB-level troubleshooting, and device-level repair in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex repair, rework, and refurbishment of biomedical devices to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Conduct troubleshooting at component and board level (analog and digital) using appropriate tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, etc.
- Replace and rework electronic components and connectors on single-layer and multi-layer PCBs, including SMD and through-hole components.
- Carry out upgrades and modifications to devices based on engineering change orders (ECOs) and design revisions.
- Execute testing and calibration procedures to validate repairs and ensure full functional performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, test results, and repair histories in accordance with company and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA).
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in electronics/PCB repair, preferably in the biomedical or medical device industry.
- Proficient in soldering/reworking fine-pitch SMD components (IPC standards knowledge a plus).
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with medical device standards and regulations is a plus (FDA, ISO 13485).
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, assembly drawings, and test procedures.
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) or functional testers.
- Familiarity with Oracle/ERP systems for logging repair records.
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly and disassembly of electro-mechanical devices.
