About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director of Security Architecture with a strong background in cybersecurity and application security engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the company's application security posture. This pivotal role demands a visionary and hands-on approach, requiring the individual to have a deep technical expertise in areas such as application security, DevSecOps, data security, and cloud security, particularly with a focus on AWS and Azure. The Executive Director will also be tasked with ensuring the security of application, data, and cloud environments, and must be well-versed in security frameworks and compliance standards. Applicants for this role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in cybersecurity or application security engineering, with at least 5 years in a security architecture leadership position. The role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a background in application architecture and engineering, who is now dedicated to designing and implementing robust security strategies. Key responsibilities include defining and enforcing security architecture and technical standards, conducting security reviews, and leading risk assessments. The Executive Director will also be expected to have excellent leadership skills, the ability to align security initiatives with business goals, and a talent for communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with advanced certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CSSLP, or OSCP being strongly preferred.
