Description:

The Instructional Designer will design, deliver, and refine engaging training programs that help both employees and customers master Elixir’s product. This role will shape impactful learning experiences, ranging from virtual instructor-led sessions to self-paced eLearning courses and instructional videos, ensuring Elixir’s users gain the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.

Essential Functions

Under general supervision of the Managing Director, Product Training, the essential functions include:

  • Design and develop instructional content, including instructional videos, virtual instructor-led training (VILT), eLearning modules, and job aids, to support product knowledge for internal and external audiences
  • Facilitate engaging, interactive training sessions to help learners quickly apply product knowledge, using empathy and active listening to tailor sessions to diverse learner needs
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze needs, identify learning objectives, and translate complex concepts into clear instruction
  • Ensure all training materials are aligned with business goals, brand standards, quality standards, and best practices in adult learning
  • Stay current with learning technologies and methodologies, recommending new tools and approaches to enhance training delivery

Competencies

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and eLearning development
  • Experience facilitating learner-centered training sessions tailored to unique preferences and needs
  • Proficiency in multimedia production tools (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with learning management systems and eLearning authoring tools.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while managing stakeholder expectations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
Requirements:

Required education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience developing instructional content and facilitating training sessions
  • Experience developing and delivering instructional content to customers at a SaaS company (preferred)
