Were looking for a Junior Accountant ready to take the next step in their career within a high-performing, multi-entity manufacturing environment based in Grand Rapids, MI. This role offers hands-on exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support , and month-end processesgiving you the chance to build technical skills while contributing to the accuracy and integrity of company financials. You'll be working with Sage 100 as the ERP system, but prior experience with it is not requiredwere more interested in your mindset, your attention to detail, and your drive to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice entry, payment application, and vendor/customer communication

• Support payroll preparation , timecard verification, and employee records maintenance

• Help reconcile bank and credit card statements on a regular basis

• Prepare and post journal entries with guidance from senior team members

• Maintain accurate records in the ERP system and ensure timely updates of financial data

• Participate in month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and reporting tasks

• Aid in the documentation of accounting processes and SOPs

• Collaborate across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions

• Provide support for internal audits and compliance reviews

Recommended Qualifications

• 13 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

• Understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting basics

• Strong Excel skills (sorting, filtering, pivot tables, formulas)

• Familiarity with ERP systems Sage 100 experience is a plus, but not required

• Clear communicator with a willingness to ask questions and learn

• Organized, dependable, and proactive when tackling new tasks

Preferred Background

• Associates degree in Accounting or Finance; Bachelors preferred

• Exposure to AP, AR, payroll, or reconciliations in a business setting

• Experience in a manufacturing or multi-entity environment is a bonus

• Interest in long-term career growth in accounting or finance operations
