Job Description

Achieve is a leading digital personal finance company. We help everyday people move from struggling to thriving by providing innovative, personalized financial solutions. By leveraging proprietary data and analytics, our solutions are tailored for each step of our member's financial journey to include personal loans, home equity loans, debt consolidation, financial tools and education. Every day, we get to help our members move their finances forward with care, compassion, and empathetic touch. We put people first and treat them like humans, not account numbers.

Since 2002, Achieve has grown into one of the largest private consumer fintech unicorns in the U.S., with over $40B in enrollments for our industry-leading, tech-enabled debt resolution services business, and over $11Bn in personal and home loans originations via our banking-as-a-service partner.

Job Description

The Creative team at Achieve is looking for a Marketing Copywriter to exclusively support Lifecycle Marketing efforts. This role offers a talented writer the opportunity to own and execute messaging through the entire consumer lifecycle for a range of Achieve debt solutions.

This is a remote position, with some mandatory on-site meetings periodically at the Tempe, AZ location.

To succeed at this role, you must be adept at writing to achieve specific business goals. You are never afraid to ask “why” to get the clarity you need to craft effective communication. You approach every project strategically, and can execute a high volume of high-quality, deadline-driven content with a consistent brand voice. You easily shift from creation of persuasive lead-facing content to educational member-facing content.

While you’re comfortable working independently, you also thrive when collaborating with others. You are passionate about building and nurturing relationships with members, and are skilled at using empathy in your writing. And if you have a great sense of humor…that’s a huge plus!

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit engaging, concise, relevant, member-centric copy for emails, newsletters, blogs, phone scripts, SMS, video scripts, plus anything else the business requires to drive its conversion and retention goals across multiple products.

  • Step into the shoes of our target audience to understand their needs and wants, and balance that perspective with business objectives. Use that as the basis to generate creative concepts, then analyze and capture creative learnings.

  • Collaborate closely with Lifecycle Marketing team members to fully understand their long-term and short-term goals, challenges, and opportunities and offer content recommendations based on these.

  • Manage multiple content projects simultaneously through all established workflow systems, taking full accountability for meeting required SLAs and compliance approvals. Clearly communicate status at each checkpoint, and involve stakeholders as necessary.

  • Consult regularly with Lifecycle Marketing Content Manager to ensure you are aligned on strategy, data insights, brand voice, goals, and all other team-related issues.

  • Interpret complex briefs and produce accurate outputs, consistently meet all compliance and accuracy standards, and deliver consistent brand expression across work. Carefully review your own work for correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc.

  • Articulate thought process and rationale behind your work to teammates and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in Lifecycle copywriting or similar digital writing that requires driving measurable engagement

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines

  • Strong project management skills and experience with tools such as Asana and AI to make your workflow more efficient where possible

  • Ability to work independently and exercise initiative in getting information you need to move your projects forward

  • Demonstrated ability to receive constructive feedback and use as an opportunity to improve

  • Experience successfully collaborating cross-functionally with large teams

  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry

  • A portfolio of writing samples

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
