PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

• Credentialing Timeline: Case logs required; 30–90 days typical

• Immunization Requirements: Must meet contagious disease workforce immunity requirements; offsite drug screen required within 14 days of start

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Lodging covered up to $132/day; rental car up to $40/day; malpractice covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Routine and complicated vaginal deliveries

• Cesarean sections

• Low forceps deliveries

• Breech and multiple births

• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

• OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I and II)

• Gynecologic surgeries (D&C, hysterectomy, uterine suspension, anterior/posterior repair, tumor resection)

• Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor (tubal ligation, LOA’s, chromal tubation)

• Operative/major laparoscopic procedures (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Eligible for NM medical license

• Board: BC/BE in OB/GYN; must be certified or actively pursuing certification by ABOG

• DEA: Active DEA required

• Certifications: Not specified, BLS/ACLS typically expected

• Experience: At least 1 year; case logs required (50 vaginal deliveries, 20 C-sections, 25 gynecologic surgical procedures in past 12 months)

• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide inpatient and outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care

• Perform routine and complex deliveries, including C-sections

• Manage high-risk and low-risk pregnancies

• Conduct gynecologic surgeries as credentialed

• Collaborate with hospital staff and fellow OBGYNs to ensure continuity of care

• Participate in night and weekend call coverage

• Interpret fetal heart rate and conduct ultrasounds

• Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR
