The Phlebotomist Float role at Labcorp involves collecting blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques from diverse patient groups across multiple locations. The position requires maintaining accurate patient data and specimen logs, providing excellent customer service, and supporting administrative duties. Candidates must have or be pursuing a Washington Phlebotomy License, a clean driving record, and flexibility to work varied hours including some Saturdays.

* QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM: PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
Float Incentive: Additional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
Pay Range: $16.67 to $26.44 per hour
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday hours will vary between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and rotating Saturdays

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
Job Requirements:
Must have valid Washington issued Phlebotomy License or have an application for Phlebotomy License filed with Washington Department of Health at time of hire
Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred
Previous experience as a phlebotomist is preferred
Must have a Valid Driver's License and good driving record
Must be at least 21 years’ old
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
