Job Description

This is a remote position. ProPower is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Analyst with excellent collaboration skills to join an Agile Software Development & Delivery Team to plan and conduct tests on systems to ensure they meet all requirements and expectations. This role requires an understanding of business processes, user requirements, and underlying technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing Azure DevOps, software testing methods, databases, local laws, and government regulations.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Develop and document comprehensive test strategies, including test plans, development of test cases and test scripts, based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Assist product owners and business analysts to test software changes before release to staging and production environments to enhance court engagement and user satisfaction.
• Complete test planning and execution by creating test plans, test cases, and test data in Azure DevOps for each sprint; create test data in the applications and ensure test coverage from different perspectives functional, integration, cross-browser, cross-platform, and regression with a goal of minimizing defect leakage to production.
• Verify and validate each requirement and acceptance criterion is testable.
• Perform test execution and document test results to prepare features for CAB before production deployments.
• Report issues/defects as identified in JIRA/DevOps and drive to closure following the defect lifecycle.
• Report and document risks identified during testing.
• Collaborate with vendor, product, and other cross-functional teams; participate in requirements and planning sessions and consult with internal and external teams to help identify, define, and document business needs, current operational procedures, problems, and input and output requirements.
• Liaison between end-users and development teams in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems to ensure optimal operational performance.
• Assist in the preparation of documentation, procedures, and user manuals as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance/testing.
• Minimum of 3 years with Azure DevOps.
• Experience working in Michigan trial courts is desirable.
• Proficiency in Jira, Microsoft Excel, and Word.

KNOWLEDGE

Postman/Swagger, Azure DevOps, Figma, iSeries, DB2, SQL Server, procedures and methods for software testing, programming languages, defect management, and court processes and procedures including financial, local laws, and government regulations.
