Company Description

We are transforming a 16-floor tower in San Francisco into a self-governed vertical villagea hub for frontier technologies and creative arts. Tier?one labs presenting AI, Ethereum, biotech, neuroscience, longevity, robotics, human flourishing, and arts & music. These floors will house innovators and creators pushing the boundaries of human potential.

Role Description

We are looking for help with the front desk/lobby/reception.

You will be the face of the Tower responsible for check?in, greeting people, directing guests, accepting packages, and helping coordinate by sending those who need help to the appropriate team mate.

You can do other work, read, play music, and make the lobby a fun vibe between helping with check?in. (We will not accept anyone watching TV and acting bored at the front desk.)

Pay is $20/hr base wage with flexible hours and potential for benefits like housing, lunches, higher paid gigs long?term with administrative and ops tasks, etc.

Qualifications

• Preferably visual, musical, and/or performative/experiential artists as we want more artists in the community!
• Ability to be warm and welcoming and to help make a friendly and fun environment
• Empathetic and skilled at customer support
• Comfortable with enforcing firm and caring boundaries with people sleeping on the street and telling them they can't loiter in front of the door
• Ability to be a calming presence when things get chaotic such as when many people are coming in for multiple simultaneous events
• Quickly responsive to messages
• Curious. Enjoys talking with people learning about frontier tech
