Elica’s Dental program includes comprehensive dental services, dental residency program, mobile dental program, and school-based dental program. We employ the latest technology to efficiently and effectively serve our Dental patients. Our state of the art Dental facilities are equipped with panoramic x-rays and digital intraoral scanners to take impressions and engage patients in their oral health care. Our dentists and residents are certified in the use of the 9.3 micron CO2 hard and soft tissue laser, which allows us to perform fillings without the need for local anesthesia. This laser also allows us to provide additional services to our patients such as gingivectomies and crown lengthening without needing to refer to specialists. Our electronic health records system is integrated with our Medical and Integrated Behavioral Health departments to allow us to work together to improve the overall health of our community.

What You'll Do:

The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) will provide quality care and services to patients by assisting dentist(s) and other staff in a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties. Affect the efficiency and productivity of patient flow through timely, accurate and professional patient interactions, taking x-rays, assisting during patient visits.

Compensation: $25.76 - $33.49 an hour - Dependent Upon Experience

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a current / valid RDA license.
  • Coronal Polishing certification, Dental Sealants certification, California dental practice act and infection control completed
  • Current BLS certified
  • Radiation safety certification or successful completion of a radiation safety course.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of dental procedures and ability to perform expected duties to the expectation of the dental provider being assisted.
  • Demonstrated success with clear thinking and ability to reorganize as needed.
  • Demonstrated success in working independently, prioritization and problem solving.
  • Demonstrated success in managing difficult customer situations
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, Farsi, Dari, Pashto, or Russian preferred

The work environment is characteristic of a medical/dental clinic environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle or feel. The employee is also required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also possess hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the phone. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
