The Monterey Bay Endoscopy Center LLC is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse who is interested in working at our busy Ambulatory Surgery Center in Monterey, California.
Our Endoscopy Center serves a diverse population of outpatient ambulatory surgery patients. Providing diagnostic and therapeutic Colonoscopies and Upper GI Endoscopy care to the adult and elderly patient. As a team, you will work closely with thirteen physicians, endoscopy technicians, registered nurses, and anesthesia providers. Our facility has four procedure rooms, six admit and recovery areas. Our facility is looking for the right candidate to work at our fast-paced Endoscopy Center, while joining a great and knowledgeable medical team.
One full-time position, day shift, to currently cover our facility needs. The hours are varied and between 0630 to 1700 Monday through Friday, no weekends or major holidays. No call required. Candidates must have an active UNRESTRICTED CA RN license and be legally authorized to work in the US. Responsibilities include interviewing the patient in pre-op, starting IVs, transporting the patient to the procedure room, assisting the MD during the procedure, accurately handling specimens, and transporting the patient to the recovery room.
New grads considered. Spanish-speaking preferred but not required
Responsibilities/ Minimum Qualifications:
The RN will be responsible for caring for the adult and elderly patient. The RN is responsible for performing all registered nurse responsibilities in accordance with the California Nurse Practice Act and policy, procedure practice guidelines at Monterey Bay Endoscopy Center LLC.
§ Pre-procedural education and planning
§ Procedural conscious sedation and monitoring- preferred
§ Experienced IV skills preferred
§ Post-procedure sedation monitoring. Teaching and discharge instructions
§ Ongoing nursing assessment verifying patients’ condition and prioritizing plan of care in accordance with the patient’s response
§ Basic Life Support Certification required and validated upon hire
§ Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required within one month of hire
§ Able to lift 35 pounds without assistance. Able to stand and ambulate for ninety percent of your workday.
§ Able to transport objects, equipment, and patients.

Salary: $49.00 - $52.00 per hour, depending on experience
