Description
Specific duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day activities within the current laws of the State of New Jersey for the overall education program.
Interviews/recommends for hire all appropriate staff for school programs.
Maintains contact with local districts and child study team members on a regular basis.
Responsible for all grant/proposal writing for school programs.
Maintains regular contact with parents/guardians of students.
Responsible for the gathering, submission, and accuracy of all records, data collection, etc., pertaining to student enrollment information.
Prepares, when directed, all appropriate reports, etc., for review and approval by the Executive Director of Educational Programs in a timely fashion.
Responsible for the discipline of students.
Works in concert with the Maintenance Director to insure a safe/attractive building.
Plans for the ordering of equipment/instructional supplies through the Executive Director of Educational Programs.
Evaluates school staff and makes appropriate recommendations for continued employment through the Executive Director of Educational Programs.
Responsible in the assigned school for the ongoing recruitment of students.
Plans/reviews an appropriate school curriculum for annual approval by the Executive Director of Educational Programs.
Accepts all special assignments given by the Executive Director of Educational Programs in a cooperative manner.
Works in conjunction with CST coordinator to ensure proper delivery of related services for assigned school.
Arrives to work on time and adheres to the electronic sign in/payroll system and attendance policy
Approves electronic payroll on a biweekly basis.
Responsible for any miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Full time; follows the school calendar

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Standard NJ Principal Certification with Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. Minimum of 2 years as a building Principal/Administrator, preferably at the high school level. Experience working with culturally diverse students and families. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
