We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Developer with strong SQL development, experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and a proven ability to lead development efforts trying to work a fine line of PM vs. Sr Developer leader. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Developer with strong SQL development, experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and a proven ability to lead development efforts trying to work a fine line of PM vs. Sr Developer leader. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions and collaborate closely with distribution center operations to deliver impactful results.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures to support business operations.
  • Analyze and interpret business requirements, identify incomplete or ambiguous areas, and proactively fill gaps through stakeholder engagement and domain expertise.
  • Lead and work with a team of developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with distribution center operations teams to understand workflows, identify pain points, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other enterprise platforms.
  • Provide technical support for production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system stability and performance.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies to drive project delivery.
  • Document technical designs, processes, and solutions for cross-functional understanding and future reference.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience required in software development with a strong focus on SQL and relational databases (MS SQL Strongly Preferred).
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with WMS platforms (e.g., Koerber/High Jump/Infios. (like Webwise, Architect solutions) Strongly Preferred.
  • Manhattan, Blue Yonder or similar will be considered with 8 years' experience.
  • Proven ability to work with incomplete or evolving requirements from business operations and deliver robust and high-quality solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring developers.
  • Excellent communication skills, (verbally and written) and ability to work effectively with operations teams in a distribution or logistics environment.
  • Experience providing technical support and resolving production issues.
  • Strong Background in supply chain or logistics technology, preferred.
  • Experience with SOAP and REST protocols, XML, and Web Service/API calls.
  • Familiarity with robot communication a Plus!
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Compensation:  Salary Range $135K - $155K annual, depending upon education and experience.
