Your Role as a Tax Consultant:

Joining H&R Block as a Tax Consultant means receiving comprehensive support and expert training to help you succeed in your tax career. You will enjoy the autonomy and flexibility needed to balance your unique life.

• Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients as well as via virtual tools including video, phone, chat, and email.
• Prepare accurate and complete tax returns.
• Drive business growth by enhancing client retention and offering additional products and services.
• Assist clients with IRS inquiries and concerns.
• Collaborate with team members to align with office priorities.
• Continuously develop your tax expertise.

What You'll Bring:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or the Income Tax Course.
• Experience in a fast-paced working environment.
• Proficiency in using virtual communication tools (video, phone, chat).
• Effective communication skills, both in-person and remotely.
• Compliance with all IRS and applicable state regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Prior experience in customer service or retail roles.
• Experience in a supportive, fast-paced work environment.
• Flexibility to work 25-35 hours per week during tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks.

Pay Information: The pay range for this position is $11.00 - $27.00/hour. Individual pay will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skills, performance, and location. Successful candidates may qualify for additional incentive compensation plans. Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401k), Employee Assistance Program, fitness programs, and receive associate discounts. Additionally, they also benefit from Business Travel Accident Insurance and Associate Tax Prep benefit.
