Business Automation Technician - up to $40/hr + Company Vehicle + 100% Employer-Paid Family Healthcare.

We have an immediate need for a skilled Business Automation Technician to cover the Central Maryland market. In this role, the Business Automation Technician will be responsible for Design, Build, & Programming Assist in developing a project scope in coordination with sales teams and our customers to meet the needs of each project.
- Install and program each system based on the scope of work and company standards, identifying all materials, and required equipment.
- Build and program each system to meet the requirements of the scope of work. 
- Develop project schedules and strategies for system implementation and manage each project to ensure the project implementations are successful.
- Inspect implemented systems to verify system compliance with project scope and specifications and to detect malfunctions in system parts.
- Consult with engineers and contractors as necessary regarding system operation and configuration.
- Documents system design, programming, and sequence of operation according to company standards.

- Ensures the required documentation is available during the execution of a project.

Preventative Maintenance and Emergency Service

- Assist other BAS and HVAC field technicians in responding to emergency service calls. Analyzes, troubleshoots, repairs, and restores equipment/systems to full operation and recommends revisions when necessary for effectiveness.
- Delivers technical support, coaching, and direction to end users and other field technicians when applicable.
- Oversees the execution of and or performs scheduled, routine preventive maintenance on a variety of building automation equipment and systems.

Corporate Standards and Documentation

- Maintains company documentation following established policies; handles proprietary information in the prescribed manner.
- Work in a manner consistent with the concepts of continuous improvement and maintain high-quality standards of products.
- Develops and maintains standards for design, programming, and project execution
- Develops and maintains graphics for WEB access database with instructions for customer, technician, and admin level access.

Sales Support

- Assist with job site surveys, project scopes, building points, and material lists, when applicable
- Promotes, builds, and maintains good customer relations and assists with contract retention.
- Maintains documentation of services provided.

Professional Development

- Maintains all necessary certifications for building automation systems serviced at Knott Mechanical.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Must have a HVAC Journeyman’s License or an Electrical Journeyman’s License.
- Must have experience with project management
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, submittals/project documentation requirements.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid driver’s license

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

- Fully understands design, programming, installation, preventative maintenance, and service of Honeywell Webs building automation management systems.
- Fully understands the fundamentals of computer networks.
- Fully understands the preventative maintenance and service of additional building automation management systems, including but not limited to Tridium (Niagara AX and Niagara 4), Distech, Johnson Controls, Carrier, Easy IO, TAC /I-Net, and Trane.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Requires excellent organizational/time management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge and proven ability in trade-related fields, and a professional demeanor. Ability to juggle multiple tasks, deal effectively with difficult people, and troubleshoot. Must project good judgment and be able to perform all duties satisfactorily while prioritizing projects and activities.

Must be able to program, maintain, and troubleshoot the following:

· Honeywell field controllers
· Spyder Controllers
· Stryker Controllers
· JACE ( Niagara AX and Niagara 4)
