Patient Access Specialist
Department: Clinics FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports To: Clinic Co-Managers
Position Summary
This position is scheduling patient appointments to maintain a steady flow for health care providers. As well as registering patients for the outpatient departments.
Essential Functions
▪Must be able to work well with the public.
▪Registering patients- ER/Outpatients and Clinics.
▪Answering phones in a timely manner.
▪Keeping medical records up to date.
▪Logging of daily payments.
▪Filling out outpatient sheets when necessary.
▪Collection of cash payments.
▪Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications/Education
▪Minimum age sixteen (16)
▪High School Diploma or GED
Experience
▪Previous receptionist experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred. ▪Knowledge of HIPAA.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
▪Professional and discrete manner at all times.
▪Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Hours of Work
▪Monday - Friday (hours could vary)
▪Travel to outlying clinics is required. (Moorcroft & Hulett)
