Job Description
Hercules International, Inc. currently has openings for trained CNC Lathe Operators. Successful candidates will be responsible for production of cutting, milling, and grooving formed Brake Camshafts to various lengths and dimensions. Will be responsible for direct communication of product quality status and process or product issues to the Quality Manager. Will check dimensions on CMM machine, update trend charts, analyze product and processes, and recommend corrective and preventative actions. Will support the compliance with ISO 9001-2000.
Will conduct the following:
Read, verify, and follow schedule of priority parts.
Machine set-up and operate using prints.
In process product conformance.
Follow all applicable work instructions.
Complete all documentation properly and in a timely manner.
Report preparation roadblocks to management.
Support of internal and external corrective actions.
SPC collection and analysis.
Check dimensions using CMM machine.
Inform management or maintenance of potential machine failures.
All other tasks assigned by management.
Successful Candidate must have strong basic math skills, ability to read various gages, ability to read and follow prints, operate machines holding tight tolerances, and be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Must have ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of diversity. Must have working knowledge of statistical concepts (SPC) and ISO 9000.
