*Job Summary*
Melchert Hubert Sjodin, PLLP, an established and highly respected law firm located in the SW Metro, is expanding our family law practice. We seek to add an attorney to work alongside our senior family law attorney. We are a full-service family law practice handling unbundled services from heavy mediation to litigation matters. The MHS partners support a collaborative and community focused culture. Qualified candidates would have a minimum of 2 years' litigation experience, strong communication skills, value hard work and integrity, and have a willingness to provide care and empathy to our clients. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

*Duties*

* Conduct legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
* Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
* Assist in the litigation process by preparing for court appearances, depositions, and hearings.
* Provide legal advice to clients on matters related to family law.
* Collaborate with senior attorney on complex cases while independently managing a caseload.
* Maintain organized case files and documentation for efficient access and review.
* Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to facilitate case progress.

*Qualifications*

* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
* Admission to the state bar and active license to practice law.
* Minimum of 2 years litigation experience.
* Strong knowledge of family law principles.
* Proficiency in legal drafting and research methodologies.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
* Familiarity with legal administrative processes is preferred.
* Prior experience in litigation or relevant internships is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
