Were opening a brewery, and we want you to join us! We Jesse & Eric are looking for an organized, ambitious person to join our leadership team. Eric is our Head Brewer bringing 10 years of professional brewing experience to the company, and Jesse is Director of Operations, with extensive operations, administration, project management experience.

Pallet Brewing Company, located at 30 Newark Way in Maplewood, NJ, is looking to hire a full-time General Manager (GM) to get in on the ground floor of our soon-to-open taproom. The GM is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the taproom. They ensure the taproom is clean and inviting, and that customers have a positive experience. Night and weekend availability is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Staff management : Hire, schedule, and manage taproom staff
• Operations : Develop standard operating procedures for front of house employees
• Training : Train new employees on Square POS equipment, draft system and proper pouring, health & safety protocols, and offered beer styles
• Customer service : Ensure customers have a positive experience
• Communication : Respond to emails and inquiries in a timely manner
• Events: Manage, coordinate staffing, and promote on-site events and support owners with coordination for off-site events
• Inventory : Maintain inventory of glassware and merchandise
• Brand Ambassador: Support owners in promoting taproom offerings through social media, interviews, and other company promotional strategies
• Strategic Planning: Assists in the strategic planning and budgeting for the retail side of our operations

Qualifications:

• Previous management experience in alcohol and/or food service or other related fields (previous brewery experience is a plus!)
• Strong leadership qualities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Hard-working, organized individual who gets along well with others
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products
• Experience with Square is a plus!
• Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) certified or a commitment to obtain certification within 2 months of employment
• Certified Beer Server certified or a commitment to obtain certification within 2 months of employment
• Enthusiasm to perform other managerial tasks as we grow
