Position Overview
The Personnel Security Specialist will support the DoD CIO’s security office by managing clearance processing, visit authorizations, and personnel access records. This role ensures compliance with DoD, IC, and SAP security requirements by maintaining accurate databases, processing personnel security actions, and coordinating with Government security officials.

Key Responsibilities

• Process personnel security actions, including initial investigations, periodic reinvestigations, clearance verifications, and transfers of clearance information.
• Maintain personnel security records in DISS/JPAS and other Government systems of record.
• Track and process visit authorization requests (VARs) for cleared personnel attending classified events or accessing secure facilities.
• Conduct indoctrination briefings, annual refresher training, and out-processing debriefings for personnel with SAP/SCI access.
• Maintain accurate accountability logs and access rosters for individuals assigned to SAP/SCI programs.
• Prepare reports, metrics, and notifications for Government review.
• Coordinate with DoD CIO and agency security officials to ensure compliance with all personnel security requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.
• 3+ years of experience in DoD or IC personnel security administration.
• Knowledge of DISS, JPAS, and other clearance-tracking systems.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting SAP or SCI programs.
• Familiarity with DoD and IC personnel security directives.
• Prior experience preparing reports for inspections or audits.

Work Location
Onsite – Pentagon / Rosslyn secure facilities.
