We are seeking an experienced Power Plant Operator to join our established team on a part-time basis. This role is pivotal to our operations within the Energy industry, as you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of our power plant. You will be instrumental in ensuring the plant's operational performance, safety, and reliability while adhering to regulatory requirements. You will be working with a wide range of plant equipment, including reciprocating engines, gas + diesel engines, filtration vessels, and dehydration skids. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your skills and expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

1. Operate, maintain, and repair power plant equipment, including reciprocating engines, diesel engines, filtration vessels, and dehydration skids.
2. Conduct routine maintenance inspections to identify and rectify potential issues before they escalate.
3. Monitor and adjust plant operations to meet energy production targets and maintain optimal plant performance.
4. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational procedures and regulations.
5. Collaborate with other team members and departments to optimize plant operations and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Provide expert advice and recommendations to management on operational improvements, equipment upgrades, and maintenance planning.
7. Respond to emergencies and unexpected situations promptly and effectively to minimize disruptions to plant operations.

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience operating and maintaining power plant equipment, with specific experience in reciprocating engines and diesel engines.
2. Proven experience conducting maintenance inspections and operating plant equipment such as filtration vessels and dehydration skids.
3. Thorough understanding of power plant operations, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and rectify issues promptly and effectively.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and communicate complex information clearly.
6. Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to emergencies and unexpected situations.
7. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
8. Relevant certifications or qualifications in power plant operations or a related field would be highly regarded.
