Job Description

This is an excellent position for someone with retail experience and/or the desire to learn. The Retail Store Manager reports to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage retail store inventory, including purchasing, receiving, and merchandising retail items.
• Ensure a clean and well maintained retail building.
• Provide outstanding customer service.
• Accurately handle customer payments.
• Assist with other shop duties as needed.
• Maintain the highest level of friendly and professional guest services.

Requirements

• Ability to commit to employment between May 1 and Oct. 1. There is the possibility for a portion of the season to be full time and a portion of the season to be part time.
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Ability to lift and move up to 45 pounds.
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in an environment that requires close attention to detail and multitasking.
• Knowledge of the Boundary Waters and interest in sharing enthusiasm for the Wilderness experience.
