Job Description:

Central State Hospital is looking to fill a full-time Utilization Review Nurse position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provides leadership and direction for the Utilization Review function.
• Assures coordination between utilization review activities and other patient care monitoring activities.
• Assists in the modification of screening criteria, standards and review methods.
• Recommends changes in hospital procedures or medical staff practices when indicated by review findings.
• Conducts utilization review data collection, management, analysis and reporting for the organization and when necessary arranges educational programs to address deficiencies noted by analysis of review findings.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a current, unrestricted nursing license.
• 1-2 years experience in UR/UM required.
• At least 1 year of Psych experience preferred.
