Warehouse Order Picker/Loader


Job Summary


We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Order Picker/Loader to join our team. This critical role is responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting, staging, and loading food products for delivery. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in operating material handling equipment, comfortable working in a cold environment, and committed to maintaining safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities


• Order Picking: Accurately select full-case and split-case food products from warehouse shelving based on daily order sheets.


• Equipment Operation: Safely and proficiently operate an electric Ride-On Walkie/Rider Pallet Jack and a Forklift (certification preferred) for moving, staging, and loading products.


• Loading: Consolidate, stage, and secure finished orders onto delivery trucks, ensuring all shipments are correctly accounted for and prepared for transport.


• Cold Storage Work: Perform continuous order picking duties within a cooler environment maintained at 37 degrees .


• Must be able to work extended periods in a cold climate.


• Inventory & Quality: Assist with cycle counts, product rotation, and inventory organization. Inspect products for damage or spoilage, reporting any issues immediately.


• Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all company safety protocols and food handling standards. Perform pre-shift equipment checks and report any maintenance needs.


Qualifications and Experience


Proven experience in a high-volume warehouse or distribution center, preferably within the food or beverage industry.


• Mandatory experience operating and safely maneuvering a Ride-On Walkie/Rider Pallet Jack (electric pallet jack).


• Required experience operating a Forklift. Current certification is a strong plus.


• Demonstrated experience with the process of picking food products off of shelves and preparing them for truck loading.


• Ability to work in a cold environment for the full shift, with extensive experience working in a cooler or refrigerated space.


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.


• Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.


• Basic math and reading comprehension skills to process order sheets.


Schedule Full-time, Sunday to Thursday (7:00 PM - 03:00 AM)
